High school students, adults considering college or a career change, and individuals interested in learning more about Owens Community College can attend an Open House on Thursday, June 23 from 12 – 5 p.m. on either the Toledo or Findlay-area Campus.
“This Open House is a great opportunity to learn about Owens programs and certificate options and how they can help prepare students for the workforce and future career success,” said Meghan Schmidbauer, Assistant Dean, Admissions, International Students, and College Credit Plus. “We are excited to showcase the many educational programs, services, and resources that we provide for our students and the community.”
Owens faculty members and representatives will be available to speak with future students about the programs and certificates offered throughout our four schools: School of Business, Information and Public Service; School of Liberal Arts; School of Nursing and Health Professions; and School of Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM). A complete list of programs is available at www.owens.edu/academic_dept/index.html. Individuals may also complete the Owens admissions application and learn more about financial aid and receive assistance completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
“We like this event to be a place where you can get your steps accomplished,” said Schmidbauer. “We will have plenty of people available to assist you with questions to help make attending Owens an easy process.”
Information regarding New Student Orientation, learning support services, on-campus child care options, and student clubs, organizations, and activities will also be available on this day. Students will also have the opportunity to win an iPad.
The Open House will take place in the Audio Visual Classroom Center on the Toledo-area Campus and in the Education Center on the Findlay-area Campus.
